A disturbing video on a cell phone shows an ex-convict wanted in a water bucket attack on NYPD police officers boldly defying the officers who stalked him in the Bronx – and then flying away when they tried to put him under arrest.
The shameless show of contempt for the New York police came on Tuesday, a day after police superintendent James O'Neill fired officer Daniel Pantaleo after Eric Garner's fatal arrest in 2014.
The video shows Keith Ford, on parole following a robbery conviction, shouting angrily as three plainclothes members of the Bronx Order Squadron in the New York Times police attempt to handcuff him , according to a police source aware of the incident.
"What's the use?", Repeatedly asks Ford, 28, at the beginning of the 2-minute clip.
When Ford, who measures 6 feet 5 inches and 255 pounds, shakes a policeman, a fight ensues and the police find themselves facing Ford as he stands with an iron fence.
After one of the cops drew a Taser, Ford pretended to give up and put his hands behind his back, then turn around and flee when the other two cops headed for the bust.
The cop pulls the taser, but Ford seems to pull the beard of his garment while he's guiding the cops during a chase to the block and in a corner, where the clip shows that he's in a state arrest against a wall.
Ford was charged with two counts of mischief, obstruction of government administration and disorderly conduct during the July 21 aggression against two uniformed police officers at the corner of Boston Road and East 173rd Street.
This incident is one of many incidents that occurred during last month's heat wave and led to criticism of Mayor Bill de Blasio by President Trump and others.
The records show that Ford was awarded a $ 1 bond on his indictment, but was sentenced to prison for allegedly violating his parole conditions.
