WWE Champion Bobby Lashley hosted an open challenge on Monday evening gross this week in Dallas, eager to find a new opponent after crossing Kofi Kingston at Money in the bank just one night before in Fort Worth. With rumors that Goldberg would be in the ongoing plans, it was reasonable to expect him to answer the call.
Nope!
Instead, we have another face that we haven’t seen in quite some time, who has been silent on exactly what led to his prolonged absence: Keith Lee!
Lee disappeared from television in January and you never know exactly why. There were rumors and reports that it was health related, then it was about creative having nothing going for him, then a potential issue with WWE to allow him to return. Lee himself sent out several tweets which were all vague or cryptic and led to more and more confusion. He promised to finally tell everyone what was going on.
There must be some sort of story, because his fiancee tweeted the following:
Either way, Lee would fight in a fairly standard match against Lashley but ultimately lose by pinfall.
