Keith Urban allegedly confronted a man at an opera party who “crushed Nicole Kidman” with his program.
Police were called to the Sydney Opera House last month, allegedly due to an argument between Keith Urban and the opera fan who disapproved of his standing ovation.
Singer Keith, actress wife Nicole and her mother Janelle were said to have attended a performance at the Sydney Opera House in January, where Keith stood up to applaud to applause from the crowd.
Keith is then said to have been confronted by a man who had found display of his appreciation offensive.
But then things would have taken a turn for the worse after the man allegedly “crushed” Nicole with his program, leading Keith to “accuse her of assaulting his wife.”
But the A-list couple were then allegedly escorted by Keith’s security service.
The story was relayed to the Sydney Morning Herald by other members of the public.
New South Wales Police have since said the Sydney City Police Zone Command was called to the famous Opera House that evening following reports of an argument.
Although no names were mentioned, a statement read: “At around 10pm (Thursday January 1, 2021) officers attached to the Sydney City Police District Command were called to the Sydney Opera House. following an argument.
Police were told that a 53-year-old man and a 67-year-old man were both heading to the entertainment center when an argument broke out.
“The officers spoke to the two men and no further action was taken.”
The Mirror has reached out to reps for Keith and Nicole for comment, as well as NSW Police.
Keith and Nicole tied the knot in a ceremony in Australia in 2006, which means this year they’ll mark 15 years of marriage.
They share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 12, and Faith, ten, while Nicole also shares Bella, 28, and Connor, 26, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.
To mark their 14th birthday last year, Nicole shared a black and white photo of herself with Keith, including the simple caption: “Us.”
