Kelley Flanagan spoke on Sunday about her recent separation from “Bachelor” alumnus Peter Weber, telling fans they were “at two different stages” in their lives.
“I know many of you have heard the news before, but I wanted to take the time to process it myself before I share it…” Flanagan began on Instagram.
“It saddens me to say this, but Peter and I have decided to go our separate ways. Peter and I had an amazing time together and we will certainly miss them, ”she continued. “Sadly, he and I are at two different stages in our lives and have seen our future paths differently.”
On Thursday, Weber – who starred in season 24 of “The Bachelor” last year – announced that he and Flanagan had separated after less than a year of dating.
“Love is a fun thing. It can make you feel on top of the world and make you feel a pain that you wish you didn’t exist,” Weber said captioned an Instagram photo of the couple, with his back to the camera. .
“I’m here to share that Kelley and I have decided to go our separate ways,” continued the 29-year-old.
Flanagan, a 28-year-old Chicago lawyer, added Sunday that she wished Weber “the best of all.”
“2021, I can’t wait to see what you have in store!” she concludes.
Flanagan appeared on Weber’s season of “The Bachelor” and was eliminated in week 7. Weber eventually proposed to runner-up Hannah Ann Sluss, but the two called off their engagement amid his feelings for runner-up Madison Prewett. .
In March, Weber and Prewett confirmed that they would not be pursuing a relationship. Two months later, Weber announced that he and Flanagan were an item.
