HOOVER, Alabama. The motto of the State of Missouri is "Show Me". Former Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant is ready to do so, having changed color thanks to his transfer last season.
Missouri will play Georgia on Nov. 9 and Bryant told SEC Media Days Monday that it was one of the games he was hoping to play the most this season.
"When I went Clemson High School clashed with Georgia. Hearing some of the players who were still part of the team, it was as if Georgia was the loudest stadium ever played. They did not really hear behind the scenes. , communication was difficult, "said Bryant.
Georgia defeated Clemson 45-21 in the last team meeting in 2014 at Sanford Stadium.
"I already knew that about Between the Hedges," said Bryant, "and it's one of the most difficult stages to play in college football, so I'm looking forward to seeing that."
Former Georgia coach, Mark Richt, also recruited Bryant, who hosted the double threat QB during a visit with other members of the 2015 promotion – a year before the signing Bulldogs contract with Jacob Eason.

Bryant, now working under Missouri's offensive coordinator, Derek Dooley, said the talent around him in Colombia was not much different from the one around him at Clemson.
Missouri was on the brink of a 10-game winning streak last season as Dabo Swinney's program ignited in the playoffs after surviving tight clashes with Texas A & M and Syracuse during a regular season unbeaten.
"I have the impression that my guys are well aligned," Bryant said, asking how the Missouri and Clemson could face on neutral ground.
"It would definitely be a good match on both sides, because you have excellent athletes on both sides of the ball."
It's not that far-fetched: Athlon ranks Missouri No. 23 in the pre-season despite a playoff ban that is currently under appeal to the NCAA.
Bryant, who completed 66% of his passes and led Clemson to a playoff appearance in 2017, said the transfer was tough last season.
"Of course, it was difficult because the next day was my birthday, it's an anniversary I'll always remember," said Bryant. "At the moment it was really difficult.
"It just played in a program like Clemson or elsewhere …. so now, I feel that I am in a good position mentally, physically and spiritually, so I already knew it was a professional decision. "
And now it's Missouri that counts.
"We view this as a 12-month-old pregnancy," said Bryant. "Whatever we do right now, that's how the baby will change.
