Kelly Campbell has been officially named President of Peacock.

Wednesday’s news comes after speculation linked the former Hulu chief to streamer NBCUniversal after leaving the old company earlier this week.

Reporting to Matt Strauss, President, Direct-to-Consumer and International, NBCUniversal and based in Los Angeles, Campbell will be responsible for Peacock’s streaming business and will work with the television, film, news and sports executive. from NBCUniversal on live and original programming from Peacock.

She starts her new job in November.

Campbell, who had plenty of time left on her contract at Hulu, was promoted from Hulu Chief Marketing Officer to President on February 25, 2020 by Kevin Mayer, then president of Direct-to-Consumer & International.

Prior to joining Hulu, Campbell spent 12 years at Google in executive and marketing roles in the Google Ads and Google Cloud businesses, including a year at Google Japan developing the online sales and operations functions. She began her career in finance as an investment banking analyst at JPMorgan Chase.
