With natural and pleasing textures, cleverly incompatible patterns and brilliant light choices, it radiates a warm and inviting atmosphere that resembles the one the first talk show host has projected herself.
"I like talking and I really like people," says Clarkson.
As an example, it took her a few seconds to prove it was true, while we were sitting to be interviewed. A producer, apparently accustomed to finding ways to elegantly interrupt Clarkson, had to intervene so that we could properly record the interview.
"We learn a lot from others when we take the time to listen," adds Clarkson.
Clarkson is at home on the Universal backlot. It's there that she also films "The Voice," the reality show with a list of alternate coaches. This year, she is with Blake Shelton, John Legend and Gwen Stefani.
This turned out to be a good job for Clarkson, whose musical mastery, bubbly personality and realistic delivery made her a favorite of the band. In a certain way, "The Voice" presented to the viewers Clarkson's own voice, beyond the outstanding ratings.
In "The Kelly Clarkson Show," she goes to the next level and hopes to use it to fill the gaps.
"You'll see as a librarian sitting next to a celebrity, sitting next to a singer, an actor, it's different [mixes]," she says.
She hopes this approach leads to conversations that would not have occurred otherwise. An honest dialogue, she says, is exactly what the world calls.
"Unfortunately, we are currently living in a period of division," she says. "I mean, the social climate is very intense at the moment and I want it to be the TV time that is eluding everyone, for example, I want everyone to enjoy the 39; issue ".
Like her concerts – where people of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds meet – she hopes to bring that spirit to her show.
"We will showcase all types of people," she said.
She also does not plan to avoid taboo subjects or politics. At one point, her executive producers showed her a picture of about fifty ideas and topics and gave her the opportunity to eliminate any difficulties she was uncomfortable with. She did not remove any.
"I was like" I'm cool with all, "she recalls. "I am very excited about unifying and leaving positive traces.
"The Kelly Clarkson Show" will be presented on Monday, September 9th.
