Kelly Clarkson may be one of the most respected names in the music industry today, but that clearly wasn’t always the case.

During an interview with Jennifer Love Hewitt on her daily talk show, Clarkson opened up about the other cruel ones in the spotlight while she was just a contestant on “American Idol” in 2002. She also took a moment to personally thank the “9-1-1” actress for her words of support during a chance meeting at the time.
