Just hours after hosting the Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday, Kelly Clarkson suffered an appendectomy, saying in a tweet: "Good bye, appendix!"
Clarkson wrote that she had sunk behind the scenes "in tears of pain" and had left Las Vegas immediately for Los Angeles where she had gone under the knife at Cedars-Sinai the next morning.

She thanked the hospital staff and reassured the fans that she "feels great now."
This is the second time that the singer has organized the show where she sang several nominated songs and then performed her latest hit "Broken & Beautiful".
Clarkson was suffering from severe stomach pains for a week before his operation, reported Entertainment Tonight.
