Kelly Clarkson undergoes surgery hours after the 2019 Billboard Music Awards

Kelly Clarkson has just redesigned the old adage, "The show must go on!"

A representative of the pop star told E! News that the singer "is doing well" after undergoing surgery to remove her appendix Thursday morning. After organizing the Billboard Music Awards 2019 from last night (and showing absolutely no signs of discomfort), Clarkson returned to Las Angeles to attend the proceedings.

Kelly then appealed to Twitter to tell this truly terrifying experience, while thanking her hard-working team.

"I'm not going to lie," the American idol alum tweeted. "I may have fallen in tears after the show BUT thank you to all the amazing people @ Cedars-Sinai I came home right after the event." Appendix. "

Kelly then shouted to the husband Brandon Blackstock, as well as his team, photographer, assistant and more.

Before going on stage at the MGM Grand Arena, Kelly confided in E! News exclusively that she would realize her "child's dream" by organizing this event.
