Kelly Price clarifies speculation about her well-being. After the gospel singer went missing in Georgia earlier in September, which TMZ reported on September 24, her lawyer said she was recovering from COVID-19 in private, with Price herself later confirming the report. Speaking to TMZ, Price detailed her heartbreaking diagnosis of COVID-19, which she announced in late July, revealing that at one point during her hospitalization she was medically dead. She was eventually released from the hospital, she said, and then received home care for four weeks. Price, who described her condition as “long in COVID,” said she “couldn’t rest” at her home because fans kept ringing her doorbell and leaving things behind, so she “has all off. “I have never failed,” she added. “It’s really disappointing that things have come to this.”
Price told TMZ his battle with COVID had an impact on his ability to perform. “I am facing a very difficult battle right now,” the singer said. “I’ve had a lot of internal damage so I have a lot of rehabilitation to do before I can be what I like to call ‘concert ready’ again.” His lawyer, who also spoke at the point of sale, did not say whether Price had been vaccinated against COVID-19.
