Kelsey Grammer will reprise her role as Dr Frasier Crane in upcoming reboot of Frasier via the Paramount + digital streaming service. The beloved show originally aired for 11 seasons before signing in 2004 with one of the best sitcom finals of all time.
“Having spent over 20 years of my creative life on the Paramount lot, both producing shows and playing in several, I want to congratulate Paramount + on entering the streaming world,” Grammer, who will also be executive producer of the series, said in a statement. “I look forward to sharing the next chapter in Dr. Frasier Crane’s continuing journey.
A spin-off on Cheers, Frasier followed the psychiatrist’s story as he returned to his hometown of Seattle and carved out a career as a radio personality while exploring relationships between family, friends and romantic partners.
The series also starred David Hyde Pierce as Niles, Frasier’s adorably neurotic and quick-witted brother, Peri Gilpin as a radio producer and close friend of Frasier Roz Doyle, and Jane Leeves as Daphne Moon. , the caregiver and physiotherapist of Frasier’s father, Martin.
