A year has passed since the tragic death of country music icon Kenny Rogers.

And on Saturday, his wife Wanda Miller Rogers posted a touching tribute to her late husband on Instagram, sharing a selection of family photos.

“A year ago… our lives changed forever… but as KR always said…” you never left until you are forgotten “.. ♥ ️ we will love you always”, the widow wrote in the caption of the snapshot album.

Wanda included a portrait of Kenny kissing their twin sons Jordan and Justin, as well as a heartbreaking snap of the family paying tribute to the dead star’s casket at a memorial service.

Rogers died of natural causes at his home in Sandy Springs, northern Fulton County, Georgia, at the age of 81.

“ Rogers passed away peacefully at the home of natural causes under the care of a hospice and surrounded by his family, ” his family’s statement read at the time.

‘It means so much to us. The memories of Kenny and the kind words you shared inspired and exalted us … made us cry and made us laugh. No matter what we go through on a particular day, we know we will never stop missing it, and we will forever celebrate who he was and his extraordinary musical legacy. We can all take comfort in knowing the music goes on! The post said alongside a stoic photo of Rogers.
