Texas wide receiver Kenny Stills, an NFL player who will say and always do what he believes in no matter what the consequences, has made his views clear on the team’s decision to fire PR Director Amy Palcic.

Stills doesn’t like it.

While not available to reporters on Wednesday – one of the realities of life in COVID-19 for NFL teams – Stills used Twitter to speak out.

He affirmed his conviction that Palcic “that’s greatAnd he clicked the “Like” button on various tweets that sharply criticized the team’s decision.

Photo “likes” include this tweet, from Charean Williams of PFT: “The Texans have turned in one of the worst organizations in football since the death of Bob McNair. @amypalcic was the best. She was certainly too good for what Texans deserve.

It’s a strong indictment from the team, endorsed by Stills. And if Palcic didn’t fit the culture that someone (probably Jack Easterby) is trying to create, Stills doesn’t want to fit that culture.

It’s too late for the Texans to trade Stills, which is in the final year of his contract. If they release him and he allows the waivers, Stills can take the balance of his $ 6.975 million salary as severance pay. The Texans would also lose the opportunity to allow Stills to leave as a free agent, securing consideration for compensatory draft picks in 2022.

Stills has just 10 catches for 138 yards in 2020. The question is whether Easterby, the interim GM, although he has little to no actual qualifications for the role, becomes agitated enough with Stills to give him up. .

This could be precisely what Stills wants.
