As Princess Charlotte 's 4th birthday approaches, her royal parents released Wednesday a series of new photos of her in honor of the big day.
The princess figured in a trio of snapshots on Kensington Palace's Instagram account, which seemed to be a mix of posed and candid cliches. In one of them, we see the radiant young man running in the grass.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very happy to share three new photographs of Princess Charlotte before her fourth birthday," the articles said.
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, took the photos last month, the family said.

In addition to wishing a happy birthday to the future four-year-old, Kensington Palace also thanked his supporters "for these beautiful messages."
Princess Charlotte was born on May 2, 2015. She is fourth on the British throne.
