FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) – Kentucky officials have announced that a company is planning to install a propane tank manufacturing plant in a city in south-central Kentucky. The project is expected to create 175 full-time jobs in the coming years.

Governor Matt Bevin's office said Wednesday that Manchester Tank & Equipment Co.'s more than $ 10 million project is planned for Campbellsville.

Officials announced that the company would purchase and modernize an existing building to expand its business, as well as for the production and supply of components to the company's existing facilities.

Manchester Tank is a division of McWane Inc. McWane President and CEO Ruffner Page said the new Campbellsville plant would greatly contribute to Manchester Tank's continued growth and success.

State officials have previously approved McWane's agreement on performance-based tax incentives of up to $ 2 million under the Kentucky Business Investment Program.
