A Kentucky father announced Tuesday that he was offering a reward to whomever would make his son disappear, while the search for the child was intensifying after his suspension Monday evening.

Elden Howard told WYMT-TV that he was offering US $ 5,000 for the safe return of his son Kenneth Howard, 22 months old, without question, after the disappearance of the child in toddler Sunday night.

The head of the Magoffin County Rescue Brigade, Carter Conley, told WKYT-TV that the toddler had disappeared Sunday night around 19:30. and the family spent time searching for it before calling the police less than an hour later.

Family members said they did not know exactly how the child had disappeared, but some people believe that he may have gone out the back door of their home, WYMT reported.

"It's like he's gone, no sign, nothing," Howard told WKYT-TV. "That's the reason I'm starting to think we can not find it."

Search and rescue officials told the stations that they were using all their resources, including helicopters, drones with thermal imaging cameras, and several K-9 teams with bloodhounds to comb the wooded area near the house since the disappearance of the child.

"We still hope, we always pray, that a 22-month-old child is safe," said Conley to WKYT. We believe that God has led us today with everything we do. So we hope he will continue to do it as we move forward. "
