A National Executive Committee has been formed to lead the deployment of ICT infrastructure across the country since the completion of the Konza headquarters is scheduled for November.
The members of the National ICT Steering Committee will be selected from the three standing committees; Ministry of ICT, ICT Committees of the Board of Governors, National Assembly and Senate.
The Steering Committee has been tasked with providing leadership in: ICT infrastructure is spreading across the country, creating employment and wealth across the ICT sector and ensuring delivery effective and transparent services to Kenyans through different ICT channels. "The ministry is committed to making ICTs the foundation from which Big 4s are planned, executed, monitored and reported," said CS ICT Joe Mucheru

Expressing at from the same event, the president of the National ICT Assembly, William Kisang, has ICTs to urgently establish a national data center.
"The Ministry needs to move quickly and set up a national data center.That lack of a data center is a big risk for us as a country," said Kisang
Senator Baringo and chair of the Senate ICT Committee, Gideon Moi praised the ministry's efforts to create jobs through the Ajira program. In addition, Konza Technopolis has challenged the protection of wildlife in the area.
