Central asphalt mixing plant

Significant strengthening of efficiency in the construction industry, a mixing plant of 39, Asphalt is a machine that creates hot mix asphalt (HMA).

HMA or bituminous concrete is mainly used in road construction and is obtained by mixing aggregates, sand, stone dust and asphalt as a binder in the installation mixture.

There are two types of coating plants: –

• Batch Mixing Plant
• Continuous Mixing Plant

Batch mills produce hot mixes in batches and are the most used asphalt plants in the world.

The aggregate is weighed and fed to dryers where moisture is removed. It is then screened and divided according to dimensions and oversized components removed before being stored in hot bins.

As required, bins are opened in the batch mixing unit where asphalt is added and mixing is done.

The mixture is then stored in silos where it is unloaded into waiting trucks and transported to construction sites.

The ability to easily change the specifications for each batch makes these plants more suitable for growers who process multiple customers at the same time.

Continuous factories, also known as drum factories, are simplified and asphalt in a continuous process.

The materials are first weighed and then added, dried and mixed continuously in a drum. The aggregates are transported from one end of the drum while the asphalt is delivered to the periphery.

After the aggregate is heated and dry, it flows into the periphery of the drum and mixes with the asphalt, after which it is stored or transported to the site. Plants require less effort and energy to function and are perfect for a specific project that requires large volumes of HMA and often does not change the mix specifications.

The two types of mixing plants are available in stationary and mobile models. Mobile models are advantageous because you can move them as you build the road, which saves tremendous savings on the cost of transporting mixes to the job site.
