At least 30 young Kenyans have a chance to be employed in the creative industry, thanks to an ongoing talent search show that will air on the KTN Home channel.

The Standard Group Plc has signed a protocol agreement with the Center for Intellectual Property Law, Advocacy and Research (CIPLAR), Uwezo Awareness Organization (UAO), the Swedish Embbady and the program Urban Development of Civil Society (CSUDP), for the second season of the show christened Talanta Mtaani.

The show is expected to last 15 weeks on KTN Home will feed talent from all walks of life and will not be limited to music. So far, 30 candidates have been registered for its second season which will end on October 19th.

CIPLAR Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Maurice Okoth, has stated that the show that was created on the KTN Home channel in early July will allow the company to be able to broadcast. identify and support promising talent and create jobs.

"In the end, at the end of the competition, we aim to find creative work opportunities in the creative industry for at least 30 participants who will have successfully completed the training," said Mr. Okoth

The first season of Talanta Mtaani took place in 2017 in Nairobi with talents from all over Kenya and neighboring countries.

The concept of TV show is based on a format similar to America's Got Talent where various kinds of talents are shown for family entertainment but in this case with a component additional training for participants and corporate social responsibility activities to give back to communities

The TV show will retrace the course of the selected candidates during the competition and will engage in CSR, training, workshops and live events, including After Parties.

The winners will be selected by digital vote and by SMS where the vote of each spectator will count.

The series airs Friday on KTN Home at 8Pm.
