FLAT: My favorite places to eat and drink

You know, for someone who eats a lot, it is surprisingly difficult to find a restaurant that I love, always;

I've had several restaurants where I go and one day the service is excellent, the next day it's nonsense (About Thyme); One day, the food is excellent and the next day they changed the chef (sorry, again on thyme); so of course, there is the little problem of badtails. Some days the bartender knows exactly what he is doing and the next day it is clear that he "brings his child to do his day's work" (Sigh, Picazzo).

But there are a few places where I went years that, one way or another, manage to get the essential. Some of these places, the service is good, but the food is excellent, others, if you are looking for a good drink, you will not be disappointed.

Here are my favorite places, in no particular order:

1. Artcaffe Westgate for his Chin Chin badtail, especially at Happy Hour. Look, a lot of people are diluting their Happy Hour badtails with water (here you look, News Cafe), hoping that after the first, you will not notice the large amounts of ice and the lack of alcohol in the second. 19659004] The Artcaffe in Westgate, in particular, never does. I do not know if it is the bartender (I have the impression that they regularly turn their servers) or that they know my face. I hope it is the last, because I want everyone to know the glory of a good badtail.

2. Steak at the Sierra. My, oh my god. I have already read several lyric poems about the quality of the meat in their hamburgers (but with a lack of accompaniment) and the tenderness of their fillets.

My favorite is their rump with a side of spinach cream and mashed potatoes, because Sierra tends to make me a little greedy. We all have our vices. I thank the cows who had to die for the 15 minutes that I needed to lick my own plate. Thank you, cows. Thank you very much.

3. 360 degrees Pizza. Not the Rosslyn Riviera branch, the original branch of ABC Place. Now, while I love Dominos Pizza (yes, I said it, Sue me.), Consistency is not their strong point. There are too many people with delirious comments on their menus (try the peri peri chicken) and too many who have Pizza Inn Pizza – namely bread with hoho lightly sprinkled on top and a touch of tomato paste to garnish.

However, I have not been disappointed – even when they do this event, they do it every year to break their record of how many pizzas they can make in a day. And while we're still at 360, let's also throw in their salted caramel milkshake. SLURP.

4. Java. Now that I've mentioned the milkshakes, I guess I have to mention Java, reluctantly, I badure you. Although Java does not feature prominently on my list of restaurants, I still have not found a place that makes a chocolate-vanilla blend as well as them, and it still manages to be a shake – not just a milk.

as the kind of milkshake with which I have to fight. The kind that does not go without a fight. The kind that I really have to suck on straw. If I wanted chocolate milk, that 's what I would have ordered. And Java gets it. That's why, from time to time, you'll see me darken their doors for a really thick milkshake solution.
