NAIROBI, KENYA: The Huduma Center will operate in two shifts to provide longer hours of work.

The first shift should last from 6.30am to 1.30pm and the second shift from 1pm to 7.30pm with an overlap of 30 minutes to ensure a good shift from the first quarter to the second quarter.

The shifts will run from Monday to Friday.

In addition to providing services for longer hours to the public, the program also aims to create flexible working hours for public servants.

The program will be on a three-month pilot basis at the GPO Teleposta Huduma Center and City Square Huduma Center

During the launch, Secretary of the Public Service Cabinet, Margaret Kobia, congratulated the program by pointing out that it was another major initiative within Huduma Kenya that continues to spur growth that contributes to the transformation of the public service. innovation as an effective way to modernize their operations and cross new frontiers in order to improve service delivery in order to remain relevant on the world stage, "said Kobia.

The CS promised to engage county governments in providing additional services and having more centers in different counties.

She challenged ministries, departments, and agencies that adopt the shift work system to facilitate their staff, provide sufficient staff at their desks based on optimal staffing levels, and provide the necessary administrative support.
