By finishing second in the pearl of Africa, Uganda's Jas Mangat occupies a second place on the table of the African Rally Championship (ARC) with 33 points

The Kenyan rally crew of Manvir Baryan and Drew Sturrock won the test for the second time to stay ahead of the standings with 75 points.

Skoda Fabia R5 lost a total time of two hours, 26.03 minutes by defeating Ronald Ssebuguzi and Leon Shenyan g (two hours, 30.11minutes) and the crew of Jas Mangat and Joseph Kamya in Mitsubishi Evo10 who finished second and third, respectively.

Meanwhile, Ugandan Mangat who finished second in the ARC category climbed the rankings in second place, sparking hope of winning the continental crown. Mangat now has to win the other two events, the Tanzania Rally and the Mountain Gorilla Rally in Rwanda, and hopes Manvir will retire in both.

NRC gets stronger

In the National Rally Championship (NRC) category Three-time champion Ronald Ssebuguzi took the win with a total of 140 points, bringing him to 290 points and the second place of the ranking.

The victory spurred Ssebuguzi's hope of winning the fourth NRC title. But we did our best and finished second overall, even though we wanted to win, "said Ssebuguzi.

" It is good that we are back in the NRC competition. Mangat finished third, Hbadan Alwi 's driver from the East African International University (IUEA) finished fourth, while Suzan Muwonge' s driver finished fifth.

Twenty-two pilots among the 47 crews completed the two-day event which doubles as the fifth round of the NRC and the ARC.
