State Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika revealed that the federal government had begun negotiations with aircraft manufacturers and investors for the unveiling of the national carrier at Farnborough International Air Show, UK

He indicated that the Nigerian delegation he led had met the Airbus aircraft manufacturers direction to negotiate the acquisition of
Sirika also revealed that negotiations with Boeing and other original equipment manufacturers would take place on Tuesday.
According to the Minister, the current International Air Show is an opportunity to negotiate with aircraft manufacturers in order to obtain the most competitive and best offers for the country.
He said that he exploit all the opportunities available at the show, an event that brings together the biggest and best in the industry, in order to attract more potential investors in the Nigerian air environment.
Sirika explained that the show would be the opportunity to establish the installation of repair and overhaul (MRO) in Nigeria, the concession of some airports in the country and others components of the federal government's aviation roadmap.
