Actors in the tourism industry asked the governor to collect street litter if the painting was to have an impact.
"Garbage collection is still a problem, we are happy that the county has considered our call to repaint the buildings, and we must now make efforts to clean up the city," said Sam Ikwaye, chief executive Kenyan Association of Guardians and Hotel Caterers (KAHC)
