Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji has accepted the prosecution of Busia governor Sospeter Ojaamong and nine others for the loss of 20 million shillings as a result of fraudulent purchases.
Agents now facing arrests will be charged with seven offenses, including abuse of authority and failure to comply with procurement procedures.

"Hon Sospeter Ojaamong unilaterally signed a protocol agreement with Mrs. R Enterprise Ltd. (MRE Ltd) in a solid waste management system project without respecting the procedural framework governing the management of public finances and projects entailing loss of 8 million shillings, "said Haji.
