The cost of gasoline has increased while diesel and kerosene will cost less during the last review of the price of fuel published by the # Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). Nairobi, a liter of super gasoline will cost Sh112.20, an increase of Sh3.39, while diesel will sell at Sh3.3.25, a drop of Sh0.35.

The new prices will come into effect on July 15, 2018 and will come into effect until August 14, 2018, when the ERC will make the next revision.

In a statement released Saturday, the ERC said the new fuel prices at the same time, the ERC says prices were also affected by the depreciation of the Kenyan shilling's exchange rate by compared to the US dollar

. the prices were as a consequence of the average cost of imported Super Petrol increasing by 5.54 percent from $ 700.01 per tonne in May 2018 to $ 738.77 per tonne in June 2018, "ERC said in a statement.

In Eldoret, gasoline will now sell at 114.55 shillings and diesel at 105.32 shillings while in Kisumu the gasoline will sell at 114.12 shillings per liter and the diesel at 105.39 shillings.

In Mombasa, the price of gasoline will be 108.90 shillings while that of diesel will be Sh99.96

At the same time, motorists in Nakuru are going buy one liter of gasoline for Sh112.87 while that of diesel will go for Sh104.14.
