Congratulations on actress Keshia Knight Pulliam!

The Cosby Show the star officially married actor Brad James on October 2, just nine months after he proposed to her in Atlanta, Yahoo news notes.

The newly married couple celebrated their big day with a stunning wedding ceremony surrounded by close family and friends, according to Pulliam’s Instagram post.

“It wasn’t the big destination wedding we originally planned,” the 42-year-old said in the caption. “Instead, it was intimate, whimsical, full of love, laughter and joy… Absolutely perfect !! Maybe one day I will share the events that inspired our change of plans. However, for now, I can say that God makes no mistakes and that the joy is in the journey.

Pulliam, who recently ventured into the kitchen world with her Keshia’s Kitchen line of kitchens, added that COVID has taught her and her husband the meaning of living “in the moment and that the this is the greatest “gift” there is.

The actress concluded her spirited post by thanking her husband, whom she called her “soul mate.”

“Thank you to @mrbradjames my amazing husband, my person, my soul mate. Thank you for renewing my vulnerability and my faith in unconditional love,” she added.

Pulliam, who was very successful thanks to his role as Rudy Huxtable in The Cosby Show, met James on the set of Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta, where the two co-starred next to each other. Pulliam spoke to MagTV in April for meeting James for the first time.

“We crossed paths before shooting the movie Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta… I’m not gonna lie, I don’t remember meeting him before that,” said of their long-awaited love affair.

A representative of the couple said PEOPLE that the lovebirds are “excited to find their happiness again forever”.

According to the report, James proposed to Pulliam with “a personalized diamond eternity band made by Fevzi, from Aydin Jewelers”. The couple also celebrated their engagement with a “magical, intimate and COVID-compliant night filled with love.”
