Kevin Connolly shed light on his recent diagnosis of COVID-19 during Friday’s episode of Podcast victory, which he hosts with Entourage creator Doug Ellin and his star colleague Kevin Dillon.

The actor and director has tested positive despite having been fully vaccinated, he shared, adding that his newborn daughter Kennedy has also tested positive for COVID-19.

Although he and his daughter are now on the road to recovery, Connolly shared that it was a difficult experience. “It was tough,” the actor said. “It’s hard when your kid is sick, you know?” Because there is really nothing you can do. But she is doing very well. It’s just the congestion part, but the fever has subsided and we’re all back on the road to recovery. “

Connolly explained that his daughter, whom he shares with his girlfriend Zulay Henao, had fever, congestion and body aches among his symptoms.

The news comes amid the ramp-up of the Delta variant. And although they claim that they “don’t play politics” on the Victory podcast – which is included in Connolly’s ActionPark Media podcast network portfolio – Connolly urged listeners to get vaccinated.

“It’s not a political statement at all, but I’m just saying there’s no doubt in my mind that this vaccine has saved me a lot.” He continued, “The symptoms, while brutal, were manageable. I’ve passed it now, but without this vaccine I wouldn’t want to be part of this delta variant of the coronavirus. “

Henao did not contract the virus, although he is in close contact with Connolly and Kennedy. “It’s negative, which further proves that the vaccine works, ”Connolly said of his partner.

The couple welcomed their daughter in June, sharing her arrival via an Instagram ad.
