Kevin Costner’s National Parks Drama About NPS Crime Solving Agents Is Commissioned By ABC
His Paramount Network Yellowstone series is a huge success.
And now Kevin Costner has turned America’s National Parks into another series, this time for ABC.
The network has commissioned a pilot for the drama costner co-written with Aaron Helbing (The Flash) and Jon Baird, THR.com reported on Monday.

The show is called National Parks and focuses on a team of elite NPS officers tasked with solving crimes that occur within the boundaries of federally owned open spaces.
Costner is also expected to produce the drama while Helbing will serve as the showrunner.
Meanwhile, Yellowstone is now in its fourth season with Costner starring John Dutton, the patriarch of a powerful Montana ranching family.
Filming for the fourth season took place in Montana last year under strict COVID-19 protocols.

The Oscar-winning actor told the LA Times last year that he never intended to stay on the Western series when he signed up.
“It was going to be 10 episodes, it was going to end there,” he explained.
But, he added, the quality of the material and the fact that the show “ was wonderfully well received ” kept him invested in the story.
Hit: Meanwhile, Costner is set to return in June as John Dutton, the patriarch of a powerful Montana ranching family, in a fourth season of Paramount Network’s Yellowstone.
