The impressive return of Kevin Durant: 22 points, five rebounds, three assists and an extremely sensitive interview.

After the Nets’ 125-99 season opener win over the Warriors, Durant did a brief interview with TNT “Inside the NBA”. Questions from Charles Barkley and the crew were mostly answered with one-word answers.

Afterward, Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille O’Neal mocked Durant with a series of selfless questions and answers between them.

The striker’s interview came a week after Barkley eviscerated Durant’s teammate Kyrie Irving over the playmaker’s media boycott. According to USA Today, Barkley later said he believed it was was the reason for Durant’s particular responses.

This was just the start of the quirk interview on the network. After the Clippers’ 117-109 victory over the Lakers in the last drink, Paul George was asked about him and Kawhi Leonard receiving “preferential treatment” by the team last season.

After George’s direct response, Barkley and Smith debated the matter while George awkwardly waited.
