Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant is not expected to follow up for Friday Game 6 against the Houston Rockets, according to Tim Kawakami of The Athletic.

Head coach Steve Kerr told Kawakami it would be "incredibly unlikely" that he will be caught up in the Bay Area to receive treatment.

The coach was rather direct, choosing to play a murky guessing game this late in the series and get it out of the way altogether.

"He's not going to play Game 6," said Kerr. "We can all pretend and just say he's doubtful. But he's not playing Game 6. "

The 30-year-old suffered a calf strain in the third quarter of Wednesday's game against the Rockets after landing a baseline mid-range jumper untouched, reaching for his lower leg and limping to the bench.

There was in-game speculation that could have suffered Achilles tears – which made the most fans for the worst – but a calf strain could also be found in this stretch of the season.

According to ESPN's Rachel Nichols (who made sure to say she's not a doctor): A Grade 1 calf strain could cost during 7-10 days for recovery, while at Grade 2, it could be said that it was successful.

It's tough to know how long MRI on Thursday, but one thing is certain – it will not be lacing them up for their team when they take on the Rockets again on Friday .
