President Joe Biden on Wednesday signed three executive orders on climate change, pledging to put the issue “at the center” of national security and US domestic and foreign policy. “I think they hear us, but they don’t care. They promised their constituents that they were going to do one thing and they seem determined to do it,” Crabtree said.
New US climate envoy John Kerry said on Wednesday that workers in coal and other fossil fuel industries have been fed a “false rhetoric” that climate policies are killing their jobs.
“Sadly, workers have been fed a false narrative, no surprise, over the past few years they have been fed the idea that managing the climate comes at their expense, no,” said Kerry. “What is happening to them is happening because of other market forces that are already taking place.”

Crabtree said he had no intention of learning how to make solar panels. “I’m a pipeliner. My grandfather did it. My daddy did it. This country was built on fossil fuels. We are the superpower that we are today on fossil fuels.
His advice to the administration was to “start training people who are just graduating from high school or college and getting them into the green energy field and not killing our industry because there is some of us, that’s all we can do ”.
