Cormier, who was 40 in March, planned to retire from the MMA sport earlier this year. But when a chance to fight, WWE superstar Brock Lesnar landed at his door, "DC" suspended his life plans and got things done. Obviously, Lesnar never returned to the UFC and Cormier voluntarily started a rematch against Miocic, who had lost to Cormier in the eighth-final of his first meeting last year.
