Khalil Mack: We heard a lot of disrespect

The 8-8 Bears take on the 13-3 Saints on Sunday for a wild game that few people expect Chicago to win.

Khalil Mack seems to take this to heart.

“Personally, I still feel like an underdog,” Mack said at his press conference on Thursday. “It’s right in me. I know these guys too. We have heard a lot of disrespect. So obviously you have to use all of this to your advantage. Not to talk about it so much, but to go out and use our actions. And that’s what we can’t wait to do.

But lack of respect? Where does it come from?

“Maybe I’m making it up. Maybe I’m not, ”Mack says. “You only hear certain things, be offended. But in the right way – use it to your advantage. “

So maybe Mack is using the Strawman Technique that many athletes like to use, including a very famous former Chicago Bull. But whatever Mack’s motivation and the Bears’ defense, they know they’re going to need a solid performance to win.

“It’s the understanding that this has to be one of the best defenses we’ve ever played,” Mack said. “It’s an opportunity and that’s all we are looking forward to. … I have to make the most of it.
