Helen of Troy can have her thousand ships, because with just one bikini photo Khloé Kardashian has launched a major feud between her exes Tristan Thompson and Lamar Odom.
The two basketball stars went straight into the reality TV lust trap earlier this week after taking a hiatus from posting cryptic Instagram quotes to share a photo of his shower in a tropical location.
The infuriating Kardashian comments poured in, with Thompson and Odom openly thirsting for their ex-partner.
“Hottie,” Odom wrote in the comments alongside a string of fire and heart-eye emoji, while Thompson followed suit with a few drool emoji of his own.
Both of their responses raised eyebrows, given that Kardashian and Thompson went their separate ways for the umpteenth time in June amid a new round of cheating allegations. Odom and the founder of Good American, meanwhile, tied the knot in 2009 after dating for a month. The two broke up in 2013, but their divorce was not finalized until three years later.
Despite having absolutely no basis, Thompson lashed out at Odom after hearing of the latter’s flirtatious comment.
“@Lamarodom God brought you back for the first time. Play if you want, different results, ”Thompson wrote, apparently referring to Odom’s nearly fatal overdose.
In 2015, he was hospitalized after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel and suffering “12 strokes and six heart attacks” while in a coma as a result of the incident. Kardashian rushed to his side and helped him recover, although the two went their separate ways at the time.
Odom has yet to respond to Thompson’s search, which many commentators have criticized as unfairly cruel given how the basketball star has publicly struggled with drug addiction.
Kardashian recently opened up about where she is with Odom, explaining during the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion that while the two are “not in touch,” his whole family “really root for him and want the best. for him”.
“I loved this chapter of my life, I did it no matter how dark and crazy it might sound,” she said. “It was always a very important part of my story and my life and I wouldn’t change that. It sounds crazy, but it had to happen and it happened.
As for Thompson, he seems eager to get back into Kardashian’s good graces after his many well-documented missteps. The former couple, who share daughter True, 3, rekindled their romance last fall, but decided to go their separate ways again after being spotted walking into a room with several women during of a party.
Since then he has made a habit of writing affectionate comments about Kardashian on social media, leaving some fans confused as to their exact position.
But Kardashian is apparently “single and seems to be okay with it,” an anonymous source told People this week, adding that “she continues to be co-parent with Tristan and they spend time together as a family. Even so. ‘he’s disappointed Khloé so many times, she’s still very loyal to Tristan.
The cameras for Keeping Up With the Kardashians may have stopped rolling, but the drama really never ends.
