For Rodarte's latest lookbook, designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy appealed to their muses of choice.
The fashion duo showcased their Spring 2020 collection through a series of surrealist-inspired images depicting their dreamlike creations of stars such as Lili Reinhart, Gabrielle Union, Margaret Qualley, Princess King, January Jones, Kiernan Shipka and her longtime friend, Kirsten Dunst.
"Knowing Kirsten, we have such a sister relationship with her," Laura said in an interview with Vogue about the collection. "She is so important in our lives, to shoot with her is very moving. The moment we had it on the set was only a very special part of the day. She just has the most magical heart. "
The creative director also explained the film's inspiration: "It's really nice to think creatively about creating a world behind each collection … We wanted to create painted portraits. In the end, the pictures have this quality, not knowing if anyone has been painted or photographed. "
