In recent weeks, rumors have been circulating that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are on the verge of divorce.

Page Six was the first to break reports claiming the couple, who married in 2014 and share four children, had decided to go their separate ways after spending much of the last year apart.
“This divorce is happening because Kim has grown so much,” a source told the outlet. “She’s serious about taking the bar exam and becoming a lawyer, she’s serious about her prison reform campaign. Meanwhile, Kanye talks about running for president and telling others bullshit, and she’s just had enough. “
TMZ went on to say that Kim and Kanye had been in marriage counseling for several months in an attempt to resolve their issues, before E! News confirmed their marriage was over and an announcement was imminent.
“It got to the point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months,” a source said. “They saw each other for the sake of the children but live apart. Kim knows the marriage is over. She has been known for a while.”
However, since then Kim and Kanye have remained silent on the information and no official confirmation of their divorce has arrived. In fact, Kim created more confusion by posing for photos with and without her wedding ring.
The day before the divorce reports broke, Kim uploaded an Instagram photo to promote Skims, and her wedding ring – which she still wears – was nowhere to be found. People immediately began to speculate that his removal was Kim signaling that the information was true. After all, for 14 years the family followed the same tradition of stoking media gossip as each season premiere neared before leaving the big reveal to the series. And season 20 will be their last chance to maximize the drama before KUWTK ends.
And it looks like the theory might be correct, with Page Six now reporting that Kim and Kanye’s marital issues will be a key storyline in the show’s final season.
Apparently, Kimye’s marriage disintegration “will feature heavily in the final storyline” as the family retires after 14 years on screen.
“The Kardashians are planning on going out with a bang,” a source said. “They filmed Kim discussing her marital issues. But everyone involved is on a nondisclosure agreement, as the finale won’t be shown until later in 2021.”
And a new interview with KUWTK Executive producer Ryan Seacrest has appeared to give credit to reports that the Kardashians want to “go out with a bang” after confirming it will be their last foray into reality TV.
After the Kardashians signed a brand new content deal with Hulu late last year, many fans of KUWTK hoped that meant the family was ready to create a new reality show on the platform.
However, those hopes were dashed when, on the last day of KUWTK filming, Kim told fans the family was done filming her life “forever.”
“I think they have a lot of ideas and [will do] a lot of things they might not have had the chance to do keeping up with the Kardashians, because it was such a strong franchise and people wanted what they saw of family, ”Ryan told People. And that’s what they got for 20 seasons. “
