Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y., retaliated against Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, on Wednesday evening, hours after tweeting a video of himself drinking water in a fixed washbasin to a toilet in a migrant detention center, calling Congresswoman "#FakeNews" for claiming that migrants were drinking toilets.

"There is a kind of video in which members of GOP House – who have clearly not read the sworn testimony that the retention wells were broken – are filming drinking sinks," tweeted Ocasio. -Corte in response to King.

"They are so anti-immigrant that they risk pink eyes to show they have not read the book #CloseTheCamps," she added.

A few hours earlier, King announced that he had gone to the same cell where Ocasio-Cortez had reported that migrants were drinking in the toilets.

"I took out a drink out there," he tweeted, conjuring up the sink above the restroom. "And actually pretty good!"

"No way was @AOC objectively honest in it #FakeNews turned around the border, "he wrote about the deputies statement about mediocre conditions." Click bait for snowflakes! "

King suggested that the original claim was the result of a "language barrier" that had resulted in "misinformation" about the facilities.

Ocasio-Cortez said migrants in detention centers were forced to drink "off the toilet" several hours after visiting one of the localities in July.
