Timothy Leeks, 22, is in custody at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, where he is being treated for a gunshot wound, according to the Atlanta Police Department. The Atlanta Police Homicide Unit has issued arrest warrants against Leeks for murder.

CNN is trying to determine if Leeks has a lawyer.

The APD homicide investigation into Von’s murder is closed with the arrest of Leeks, the department said.

Von, of Chicago, was killed in an early morning shootout in front of the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta on Friday, authorities said.

Two groups of men were arguing when shots were fired around 3:30 a.m., authorities said. Police on and off duty responded to try to stop the shooting and shots were exchanged.

Four people were shot and wounded, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which was investigating the shooting because officers fired their guns.

In addition to Von, Mark Blakely, 34, of Chicago was killed.

King Von, 26, whose legal name is Dayvon Bennett, was twice on Billboard’s Top R & B / Hip-Hop Albums with “Grandson, Vol. 1” (a mixtape that went to No.37 ) and “Levon James” (a mixtape that peaked at # 36). Last month he released the album “Welcome To O’Block”.

“The 26-year-old artist passed away as the world began to grasp the depths of his talents,” King Von publicist Erin Ryan said in a statement. “He was a devoted father, a deeply loyal friend and a man who cared for his people before him. We are heartbroken for his family, friends, team and fans.”

Basketball star LeBron James mourned the death of King Von, who grew up in Chicago and ended up in Atlanta with his friend Lil Durk.

“Damn Rest Easy Von! Bronny, Bryce and I rocked to his music and his stories! The kid had a hell of a bright future ahead of him. My prayers and blessings to his family. #LeVonJames #KingVon,” the star tweeted of the Lakers.

Chance The Rapper also tweeted his condolences, saying: “Wow. This year has been so difficult. Rip von God hurts him and his family, I can’t believe it.”
