THQ Nordic has announced that the action-RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, a 2012 remaster Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, will launch on Nintendo Switch on March 16.
This release will be the first time Kingdoms of Amalur has launched on a portable console, and it looks like Switch owners will be thrilled. Three DLCs will be included in total – The Teeth of Naros, Legend of Dead Kel, and Weapons and Armor bundles – which, when paired with the base game, would provide “hundreds of hours of exploration, dynamic combat and adventure. ‘adventures’. Oh, and the music is by ex-Rare staffer Grant Kirkhope, which is good.

Players are tasked with creating their own character from “countless” combinations before upgrading their class and facing enemies galore. There’s a lot of world content and knowledge to explore, along with a number of side quests to keep you going for hours and hours.
There is also more to do, as THQ Nordic has confirmed plans for a brand new Kingdoms of Amalur expansion called “ Fatesworn ”. Details are still pretty slim at the moment, but we’re told to expect it to arrive later this year.
