Kings, warriors, mowers eyeing Pascal Siakam

the kings, Warriors, and Lawn mowers are part of the teams that are believed to be particularly “in love” with the striker Pascal Siakam, according to Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee.

A source familiar with the situation tells Anderson that Raptors president of basketball operations Maasai Ujiri received many commercial inquiries about Siakam and “listen like a good negotiator”. However, while a deal is possible, Anderson’s source doesn’t think it’s likely, noting that Siakam has no desire to be moved.

Siakam’s name has appeared in business rumors throughout the season. The Athletic’s John Hollinger first suggested in June that the former All-Star was on Golden State’s radar, and several subsequent reports referred to a league-wide belief that Siakam could be got, especially in the wake of Toronto using No. 4 pick for the draft Scottie Barnes.

Sam Amick of The Athletic said last week that Sacramento “definitely” has an interest in Siakam, and Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report said the Trail Blazers have entered into preliminary discussions involving the veteran forward.

If the kings made an offer for Siakam, it would probably include Inmate buddy, Marvin bagley iii, and at least one future first-round pick, by Anderson. While that would be a perfect salary match, it’s unclear whether such a package would be enough to seriously attract Toronto, Anderson admits.

The Kings have also shown interest in Sixers Star Ben simmons, confirms Anderson, adding that GM Monte McNair seems motivated to make a major change to the roster as the pressure to win begins to mount. Outside of Sacramento, it feels like McNair and his front office – set up just a year ago – are already feeling the warmth of Kings owner. Vivek Ranadive take a significant step forward, says Anderson.
