Kirby Morrow, a prolific voice actor whose credits include the voices of Cyclops, Goku and Miroku, has died at the age of 47.

The Canadian actor died on Wednesday, but no cause of death was provided, according to The Wrap.

Morrow’s brother Casey announced his passing in a Facebook post on Thursday, posting: ‘Kirby was a blessed and talented person who brought joy to so many but also thrived on all your love and your friendship. He lived for it and it fed him every day.

The Jasper, Alta. Native studied theater at Mounty Royal University in Calgary and worked in Vancouver.

Her varied vocal roles included Miroku from InuYasha, Cyclops from X-Men Evolution; Teru Mikami from Death Note, Goku from Ocean dub from Dragon Ball Z and Cole from Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu.

Morrow also had the recurring role of Captain Dave Kleinman on Stargate Atlantis.

He provided the voice of Miroku in the English dub for the 2001 film InuYasha and continued to voice the lewd monk in his various forms.

It was announced earlier this month that Morrow has reprized his role as Miroku for the imported version of Funimation from the sequel series InuYasha Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon.

Morrow’s film credits also include the TV movies A Ring By Spring, High Moon, and The Pastor’s Wife.

He has also appeared in several TV series including: Supergirl, Legion, The Good Doctor and The Flash.

Social media has been filled with tributes to Morrow who provided the voices of several beloved characters.

“ We are incredibly sad to hear the news of the passing of voice actor Kirby Morrow. He was an incredible talent and we were honored to have worked with him on Inuyasha and Yashahime. Our hearts are with his family and friends right now, ”read a tweet from VIZ Media.

Kelly Sheridan, his co-star in several productions, also paid tribute to Morrow on social media.

“ Shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my dear @Kirby_Morrow. It seems like every major step in my career he was there at the microphone right next to mine. Jay, Van, Prince The Nutcracker, Miroku. My lucky charm. He will be so missed by me and our entire community, ” she tweeted with a photo of him kissing her on the cheek in a recording booth.
