Kirk Cameron and Christmas Carolers post COVID mask rules, social distancing

Kirk cameron resumed his anti-mask Christmas carols on the road, but this time he encountered protesters who were enraged by the display of COVID precautions.

The “Growing Pains” star brought about 100 people down to The Oaks mall in Thousand Oaks – just outside LA – and there was no social distancing and virtually no masks in sight.

Some people who saw the exhibit expressed their displeasure in their cars and on foot, others confronting the singers. It looked tense as the singers clashed with at least one protester.

Kirk climbs on the megaphone and says to the crowd, “We live in a free land, regardless of what they try to do. The freedom we have from Christ that no one can take away from us.”

The message is a bit complicated. We know Cameron criticized the governor Gavin NewsomCOVID’s COVID closures – something that has caused a lot of concern as to why some businesses have been ordered to close while others have remained open.

But, when it comes to masks and social distancing … well, if Kirk thinks this is an attack on democracy, he has to give up the story because there are countless restrictions on it. “freedom” for reasons of health and safety.

There was a booth where the singers handed out “mask exemption badges”. It’s drama, but given the explosion in COVID cases and deaths, it’s no fun.

The folks who run The Oaks have said this … “We continue to share our community’s concerns over these irresponsible – but constitutionally protected – events and have law enforcement on the property. We have contacted the organizer to request that the event be moved. “
