The Warriors aren’t sure when Klay Thompson will return next season, but one thing’s for sure: Anytime he debuts in 2021-22, he’ll always be a walking bucket.
It will likely take a while for Thompson to build up his stamina and endurance, but his shot will still be pure when he returns.
If you need proof, just watch what Thompson did on Saturday while training at the Warriors’ training facility.
Yep, Thompson did a glanceless shot to one hand while filming himself doing it, and he was excited.
Thompson hasn’t played in an NBA game for more than two years, after tearing his left ACL in June 2019 and tearing his right Achilles last November. During a recent Instagram Live session, he said he was making “huge strides” in his latest rehab.
While Thompson is eager to return to the field and wants to return as soon as possible, Warriors president Bob Myers has indicated that in December, it is likely that the five-time NBA All-Star will join the squad.

With the 2021-22 NBA season set to begin in mid-October, that means Thompson could miss at least the first five or six weeks.
Dub Nation can’t wait to see Thompson knock down 3 points in a few months. Don’t expect him to hit blind shots like he did on Saturday.
