The Cleveland Indians have put star launcher Corey Kluber on the injured list with a broken right arm that will save him indefinitely.
Kluber, 33, suffered an undisplaced ulna fracture when he was struck by driving at 150 km / h on Wednesday night facing Brian Anderson's arm in Miami. He underwent further testing Thursday at the Cleveland Clinic, and the results confirmed the diagnosis.
The Indians said that Kluber did not need surgery for the moment. It will be reviewed in three to four weeks.

The loss of Kluber is a blow for the Indians, who beat Minnesota in the Central American League after three games without ever hitting, beating a record of .215 with only 111 points this season. Cleveland are missing two starters of one of the best rotations in baseball, as Mike Clevinger remains absent with a tense back muscle.
Kluber, two-time winner of the Cy Young Award, did not meet his standards early in the season, but the right-hander still remains the ace and leader of the club.
The Indians are likely to rotate five men in May, with Jefry Rodriguez to start. He made two starts as he replaced Clevinger and his departure is scheduled Tuesday against the Chicago White Sox.
Kluber would have started on Monday, and manager Terry Francona would juggle his rotation or head to Triple-A Columbus to bring in Adam Plutko or Cody Anderson.
Cleveland Friday recalled reliever Jon Edwards to take Kluber's place in training.
