Knicks 117, Wizards 99: Scenes from a three-point avalanche in DC

The New York Knicks buried the Washington Wizards in a three-point avalanche on Saturday night en route to a 117-99 victory. They shot an absurd 24-52 from beyond the arc. Those 24 lines would have been a franchise record in one game in the regular season.

RJ Barrett only made one of four attempts from inside the arc, but shot 4-8 of three en route to an 18-point night. But it was his defense against All-Star Bradley Beal that really stood out.

Derrick Rose (15 points, 8 assists) feasted on the Wizards’ second unit. I was actually surprised at how hard the Wizards played for a preseason game, and they have some interesting bench pieces, but Rose cut them out anyway.

Before Rose actually sat down, her reserve backcourt Immanuel Quickley and Alec Burks were basically on Harlem Globetrotters shit.

Obi Toppin didn’t score in the first half but contributed 13 points in the second half to help put the game on the sidelines.

Even Kevin Knox entered the action, with 12 points!

Happy victory. I would watch again. Recap to come.
