Konami announced on Wednesday the release of the TurboGrafx-16 mini, a preloaded compact console games from the catalog of NECThe original TurboGrafx-16 console.
Konami lists the following initial games for the console version that the company will sell on the American continent:
- Type R
- New Island Adventure
- Ninja spirit
- Ys Book I & II
- Dungeon Explorer
- Alien Crush
The TurboGrafx-16 mini will offer Quick Save for recording anytime of the game, various display modes, including 4: 3 format and emulation of CRT scan lines, as well as up to five simultaneous players via a multitape sold separately.
Konami also offers in Japan the console under the name of PC Engine mini with the following initial titles:
- Super Star Soldier
- Kung Fu (Chinese warrior)
- PC Genjin (Bonk Adventure)
- Akumajō Dracula X: Chi no Rondo (Castlevania: Rondo of blood)
- Ys I & II
- Dungeon Explorer
Likewise, the console will be available in Europe under the name PC Engine CoreGrafx mini with the same six games advertised until now for the Americas. In every region, Konami promises to reveal more titles in the future, although she has not announced release dates yet.
The original PC Engine console was launched in Japan in 1987, then in the United States in 1989. It was finally available in several variants, including portable versions and versions equipped with CD-ROM drives.
