Three officers were put on administrative leave after LSU receiver Koy Moore posted a statement on social media over the weekend claiming he was ‘raped’ by Baton Rouge police during the ‘a search, coach Ed Orgeron said Monday.
Orgeron addressed the issue at his weekly press conference and confirmed that three officers have been suspended pending an investigation into the incident which took place on Saturday evening.

“I met Koy and his mother this morning to find out what was going on. His brother was also involved, ”he said, according to WAFB. “I want to thank Chief Murphy Paul for moving quickly and investigating this matter. Three officers were placed on paid administrative leave. Obviously, we’ll let them take care of everything. “
Moore shared his experience on social media on Sunday: “Last night I was approached by police. They shot guns at me assuming I had a gun and drugs (shouting where’s your gun?). I was raped multiple times, even going so far as to try to unzip my pants for a gun that repeatedly told them I didn’t have any.

Moore continued to say that he attempted to record the incident but his phone was taken away.
“I could have lost my life and I know for a fact that nothing would have happened to the guys who did … because some celebrating the election of a new president understand that the real problem has not changed”, a- he declared. “If I hadn’t told those incompetent officers that I was an LSU football player, it’s impossible to say if I would have been here to tell the story! Police Chief Murphy Paul has confirmed that three officers involved have been placed on leave as they continue their investigation.
“We appreciate Mr. Moore bringing this incident to our attention,” he said in a statement on Monday. “As in all cases, we will collect all available evidence and conduct interviews. Accountability and transparency are essential in building trust with the community. I am committed to fully investigating this complaint.”

Orgeron issued a statement on Sunday renewing the call to fight social injustices.
The coach said: “While I cannot comment on the survey, what I can say is that we have to work collectively to embrace our differences. We must listen, learn and come together to fight social injustice and racism if we are to create a safer and more equitable society for all.
Moore, a true rookie, has eight receptions for 70 yards this season.
