The Buffalo Sabers finally made a decision regarding a new head coach, hiring Ralph Krueger as the 19th head coach of the franchise's history.

The team officially announced the announcement on Wednesday, but the new Sabers coach was not officially introduced as he already had bonds in England when he closed his term as president of Southampton Football Club in the English Premier League.

Krueger will replace Phil Housley behind the Buffalo bench and will try to reverse the coaching trend after just two seasons.

Although he is in England, Krueger took the time to join Mike Schopp and Bulldog on Wednesday to further discuss becoming the next Sabers head coach, the interview process and his coaching style.

Here's what he had to say:

Krueger on his potential opportunities to train again in the NHL:

"There were a lot of opportunities in Europe, NHL teams approached me, the conversation with Jason [Botterill] woke the passion of the coach again. "

Krueger on his approach to coaching and his unique style:

"I do not believe that the head coach is 100%, it's about putting the pieces together at the right time."

"I like to be spontaneous and able to adapt. I love to use my staff.I have learned a lot from sports science in Premier League .I want to bring it here." . "

Krueger about Buffalo's time and his interactions with fans:

"I wanted to feel the heartbeat of the season, I went to the city many times, I understand the passion and the story, but I wanted to know what the market was saying."

"I've been to six bars, I'm sitting next to someone in a bar to talk about the Sabers, just to hear what the fans are thinking … I enjoyed the adventure."

"I wandered by the water, I love architecture, I appreciate the artistic development that is taking place, the beautiful renovations of the arena are going well. It's a good place for the woman. "
